Silver Oasis Maldives

I had such a wonderful stay at Silver Oasis. From the moment I arrived I was treated with so much care, respect, kindness and helpfulness, and nothing was too much for the staff - Sanjaya, Ruwan, Katana and Sanity were wonderful. The hotel is fresh, clean and comfortable. Room was a good size with a comfy bed. Breakfast every morning was nice, all you needed. I ate dinner at the restaurant for 2 nights and had the most delicious Srilankan food - the hotel chef Ruwan is amazing and the food rivaled anything you'd get at a top hotel/resort. It was nothing short of spectacular. The island is lovely - nice to be experiencing the real Maldives. First big bonus of this island is that it is only a short 25 min speed boat from Male and there are a few a day, so easy to get to. There are a couple of small shops, about 5-10 places to eat, 2 local beaches, the excellent tourist 'bikini beach' and also another beach at another hotel which I used after eating lunch there one day. I recommend staying here because there are enough tourists out and about but it's still lovely and quiet, and not tarnished by any tourism. I went for runs every morning around the outside of the island, watching the sunrise. Bliss. The beaches and water are stunning! However, it was Silver Oasis that made my stay so wonderful. I will recommend it to everyone.

A very nice hotel, probably one of the best on the island. Very nice service, helpful in every situation, they will bring you to and from the marina and take care of your luggage. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, you can buy drinks and water, and the breakfasts are very good. But the biggest surprise was a chef from Sri Lanka. I recommend everyone to talk to him and order a typical Sri Lankan dinner. You won't eat like this anywhere on the island. Delicious food, cooked with passion. It's worth paying a little more to experience this cuisine.

We had a wonderful four night stay at Silver Oasis. Sanjay and his team could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We were met at the harbour and our luggage transported to the guesthouse just a five minute walk away. We were made to feel so welcome and left as friends. The guest house had everything we needed at a tiny fraction of the price of the resorts on nearby islands. It allowed us to experience the wonderful Maldives without spending a fortune. Several rooms and the restaurant have beautiful sea views. The food is excellent. Huraa is a small authentic Maldivian island just a 25 minute speed boat ride from Male. The guesthouse had bikes available for the use of guests and you could cycle around the entire island in 15 minutes. Our favourite spot was Bikini Beach, with its white sands and calm turquoise waters protected by the reef out to sea, with palm tees and sunbeds under thatched shelters. A picture postcard setting which, on most days, we had all to ourselves! If you want to experience the wonder of the Maldives at a reasonable price we would recommend you stay on Huraa at the Silver Oasis.

Great location, amazing Sri Lankan food, incredible staff.

5 star deliver from start to finish! We have booked this stay very last minute and due to the reviews we thought we’ll give it a chance. The staff was so welcoming and professional, very respectful and kind. We have stayed in 5 star hotels prior to our stay in the Maldives and I’m confident to say that we have NEVER received a better service! We felt like home, my partner even sat down with the staff to have coffee with them. The food is also incredible! We got the room with breakfast included, but didn’t expect a full 3 course (fruits to start, then the main breakfast and some pancakes or sweets beautifully plated). Chef Ruwan then offered us some options for dinner and not putting much thought behind it, we went for the fish. Again, we didn’t expect a 3 course meal included with it and it wasn’t just fish!! We had calamari, tiger prawns, crabs, the said fish and some salad sauces and OMG it was the best we’ve ever had!! And the desserts are incredible too. The hotel is located in front of a beautiful beach with some restaurants nearby but needless to say we have eaten every single meal in our hotel. The bikini beach is also 10minutes walk from the hotel so it was perfect. Kalana, Sanjaya, Sajith, Ruwan- we cannot thank you enough for making our stay memorable for life! We will be back again this year!
